Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings in the wonderful city of Amherstburg
Spotted : yesterday my grandma and I were walking into Costco. I grabbed a cart and was going to meet my grandma at the photo centre. As I was walking towards her I noticed a gentlemen hand her something and walk away. As he smiled and turned away he said " the golden rule is what I live by, have a great weekend." I was curious so I asked her what that guy wanted. She said that he noticed when she pulled her hand out of her jacket pocket a $50 and $20 fell out onto the floor. He picked it up walked over to her and gave it to her. He had such a great smile and she thanked him and said thank you for being honest. Thats when he said " the golden rule is what I live by, have a great weekend"
I don't remember seeing something that touched me like this has in a long time. #Childrensee #Childrendo

A Zombie Snow family - Great Job!
To my fine neighbors on higgins cresent. I recently broke my leg and am finding this weather challenging at best. I came home this evening to find my driveway had snow about a foot deep dumped on it by a plow. Being on crutches I couldn't get out and shovel and felt my only option was to try and drive thru it. No surprise I found myself stuck half on the road and half in my driveway. I had no idea what to do next i just wanted to cry. I must confess I haven't gotten to know my neighbors very well but found today that they are very kind the girl across the street came running over and started digging my car out and another man from down the street came running over with his snow blower and cleared a path for me to get in my house thank you very much snow angels.
Today as I was removing a lump of snow at the end of my driveway, a Snow plough drove by, went down a block and turned around and came back and cleared the end of my driveway. Thank you so much, you made my day. You are appreciated. Hope you have a great day.
Thank you so much to Chris D'Angelo for helping out some seniors with their snow covered driveways down the street from your grandparents. It was greatly appreciated.
